May is Maternal Mental Health Awareness Month. It is a time to recognize the prevalence of perinatal mental health conditions and that there is help.

1 in 5 moms experience anxiety, depression and mood changes. NH has focused a lot of attention on this very issue. NH has formed its first ever perinatal quality collaborative (NHPQC) for the past two years with stakeholders from all around the state focused on improving perinatal mental health outcomes, especially with mental health conditions (suicide and overdose) as the number one cause of preventable maternal deaths.

The majority of the work is focused on prevention, screening, education and building resources and community. There is help.

NH Mom Hub was formed to provide peer support, education and navigation to the right care. Anyone can reach out. Family, providers and self-refer. To connect, call/text 603-403-3400 or complete the referral form. We are here to help.
